The Will

Station 10

On the 29th  of Rajab 60AH – 158 days before Ashura – in Medina,  before leaving Medina for Mecca, Imam Hussain (AS) gave a letter to his younger step-brother, Mohammed Ibn Al Hanafiyah highlighting that he has risen up to seek and rectify the affairs of the Ummah of his Grandfather the Holy Prophet.

Following Imam Hussain’s arrival to Karbala, Imam Hussain (AS) wrote another letter to Mohammed Ibn Hanafiyah to relay to the rest of the Hashimites who had not joined him, telling them that this was the end of the road and that martyrdom was inevitable, ending the letter with his Salam.
